So long, Year of the Rooster! You’ll always be a favorite of mine.

Wedding season got off to an interesting start this year, as I shot the first few weddings either heavily pregnant, or with a newborn baby waiting for me at home. Our boy Otto Elias was born in May, and despite his terrible timing- he’s kind of a favorite around here (in reality, all that ‘heart growing ten times bigger’ and other clichés are actually true and I’d be here all night if I try to fit how much I love him into a blog intro).

I also expanded Two Birds Photography to our new home of Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Coming from Fargo- I can’t begin to describe how excited I am to be surrounded by lakes, and even a few -gasp- hills (unheard of in Fargo). Our new house is a couple blocks from a beautiful, historic state hospital, and the majority of homes here (including ours) were built in the early 1900’s. I still shoot most of my weddings and family sessions in Fargo, but we are definitely loving the change of scenery. Looking into 2018, I’m so excited to start offering boudoir sessions in a new downtown Fargo studio space! Details coming soon 🙂

Don’t feel bad if you don’t make it through all 100 photos. I started with a goal of 50 favorites, and once I hit 70 (oops), figured I might as well keep going. Cheers to the new year!
