Naturally, since it’s currently only 8 degrees outside, you can find me sitting at the computer combing through summer lakeside weddings and trying to think warm thoughts (although that didn’t actually work, so I turned the thermostat up to 72 degrees, much to the chagrin of my boyfriend). BUT it was still worth it to look back on this sweet, private Shoreham Chapel wedding in Detroit Lakes. Elizabeth and Luke met me at the church, did a quick change while I photographed details, and met me outside for late-afternoon portraits. After we finished up at the chapel, we headed over to Fair Hills Resort in Detroit Lakes. For those of you who haven’t been there- it is the cutest summer resort with so much history- think ‘Dirty Dancing’, and you have an idea of what the vibe of this place is! We wandered around the property, chatting and taking photos on the dock and the pontoon before ending up at the bridge. It was the sweetest late summer afternoon at the lakes with the Johnsons, and it’s really making me miss summer about now.
